The poor little bugger below was out and about under the bird table on Friday morning looking for food. It must not be in good enough condition to hibernate and its den is just a hole under some leaves and bark mulch. I placed a bucket over the den to help keep it dry during the coming deluge and put down some Hedgehog food, hopefully this will help it to survive. A visit to the Little Owl site today also gave up a few Fieldfare and Redwing.
First of all cracking blog mate!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to know the area pretty well.
I hope you don't mind me asking...could you tell me where this Little owl is, i've been searching for a little owl around Dinnington and Prestwick car for ages, I know there are a few in the area, I used to live in dinnington. So hard to see when you don't know exactly where to look!
Cheers and keep up the good work.
Darren Olley.
