Saturday I went up the coast Starting at St Mary's where a White wagtail shared the North bay With a fine Wheatear. At Cresswell 2 Yellow Wags and a pair of stunning but distant Long tailed ducks some Mergansers and some lingering Wigeon. Elsewhere was fairly quiet except Amble harbour and its fighting Eiders. The flying flock below is a counting exercise it was taken on Prestwick carr and they are Golden plover but every time I count them I get a different number.
