The journey north

Left Avimoor on a grey morning heading to Gills bay to catch the Orkney ferry. We stopped at Loch Ruthven on the way up and saw 6 Slavs trough the thick scotch mist. A visit to Dunnett head was bleak but a steady stream of Bonxies past the cliff top brightened up the day, also there a Merlin. Gills bay hosted a Black guillimott  and the rough crossing all 4 Auks.
